The Entity
After gigs I can write quick stream of consciousness semi-nonsense without giving a second thought to what I write, just going with it, like one is forced to do in a live performance.
The semi-nonsense turned into a story that sort of had some themes and things happening but it was very scattered and wasn’t exactly readable. It was still not clear what The Entity was. It was originally suppose to be a writing partner interrupting what I was writing and changing the story, but they never interrupted.
One day I was recording some simple grooves to practice drums and needed some lyrics, so The Entity the story became the raw material for The Entity the album. Seeing as it was a pandemic, and the story that was suppose to be done with someone else was done by myself, I decided to play all the instruments myself. Since I played all the instruments myself, I took the cover photo myself, of a light that I made myself.
Is this the best way to make an album? No. But I had to make it, so that there could be someone who was The Entity, whether they are aware of it or not.
